Nestled in the heart of one of London’s busiest creative neighbourhoods, The Ray is a new seven-storey development of office, studio and creative space on Farringdon Road. Wanting to channel this creative ethos into the brand, developers Viridis Real Estate granted us a welcome dose of creative freedom across both brand and web applications.

Set on the rugged shores of Scotland’s Islay, The Machrie Hotel &amp; Golf Links is a luxurious retreat part of the distinguished Campbell Grey group. Working closely with their team, we helped to successfully establish the brand and identity of The Machrie across all touchpoints aided by the stunning photography of David Whyte.

Taking inspiration from the wild beauty of the island itself, the logo pays homage to the resident hen harrier as well as the classic Scottish thistle.

Capturing the wide array of colours on show, both at night and during the day, we ended up with an abstract representation of Islay’s scenery which could be easily applied to brand assets for both the hotel and the golf club.
